This project involved designing a logo for a startup in Sydney, Australia providing take-away food locating, ordering and delivery through a single site offering pictures of menu items, restaurant information and online payment.

I decided to go for an illustrated character which would help paint a picture in people's heads about exactly what the company is about, set a tone for the business, and I was also able to communicate the connection with take-away food via the pizza-box colour scheme and typography device.

Framing the illustrated portion of the logo with a circular pop-out gave the feeling of looking through a scope and thus reinforced the search aspect of the site and the 'hunter' part of the company name itself. Angular positioning and speed streaks was the icing on the cake to invoke impressions of dynamism and rapidity - just what this service needed communicate.
